{DIY} FALL RICE KRISPIE TREAT CAKE!

Fall Rice Krispie Treat Cake_TheMarshmallowStudio

Ooooh… I’m super excited to share with you another fun little DIY treat for this Fall or Thanksgiving.

You KNOW my favorite season of the year is Fall and there’s inspiration everywhere (well, mostly on Pinterest and Instagram because sadly there isn’t much of Fall going on in Las Vegas, ever). Anyway, recently I made a Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treat Bundt Cake drizzled with caramel for KraftRecipes.com and it left me wanting more. It was so good and easy to make that I knew I had to keep rolling with it. I remembered seeing the fabulous girls of Anders Ruff make several Rice Krispie Treat cakes in the past and thought…. I’ll make one for Fall!

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES SEASON

TheMarshmallowStudio.com-5

I begin to write this post as I’m sitting on my porch sipping on a warm cup of coffee topped to the tippity top with Pumpkin Spice Mallows……

If you follow me on Instagram you already know by now how much I love Fall. It’s my favorite season of the year. It’s when the weather cools down, I get to wear light sweaters, bake more, eat pumpkin everything, decorate my house in my favorite warm colors and gear up for the upcoming holidays.

{RECIPE} BAKE, FROST & TOP – THANKSGIVING CUPCAKES

Bake, Frost and Top - Thanksgiving must cupcakes

There is a huge number of sweets and dessert recipes to make for Thanksgiving but I like to stick to a classic that is sure to be a hit with little ones and big ones alike. They’re easy to make, easy to serve and they taste delicious. Pre-made individual servings for your guests to grab and go are essential when you have lots of family and friends over  and you don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen serving everyone or to have an ever growing dish pile up in the kitchen.

THANKSGIVING MARSHMALLOW FONDANT CAKE

First off let me start off by saying Happy Thanksgiving! Every year I have soooo much to be thankful for and this year in particular I am thankful for the many blessing marshmallows have brought to our lives. I won’t get too mushy on you guys but definitely want you to know I appreciate each and every one of you and your continued support means the world to me. I’m thankful for you!!

Now, remember the Pumpkin Spice Marshmallow Fondant DIY tutorial I posted a few weeks back? Well…. I want to show you what I ended up using it for. It was my very very first time making marshmallow fondant and using it. Can’t believe it took me this long to get familiar with it and now I love it! I had such a blast playing and experimenting with it. I am no Brittany (Edible Details), Lynlee (Lynlee’s Petite Cakes), Rachel (Fondant Flinger) or Brenda (Sugar High, Inc.) but I must say I impressed myself with my new found fondant skills haha…. I guess all those episodes I watched of Food Network Challenge and Cake Boss did pay off.

I started off by just playing around, cutting out shapes with cookie cutters, and trying to mold little 3D figurines.

See what else I made below….

{DIY} PUMPKIN SPICE MARSHMALLOW FONDANT

I had been wanting to make marshmallow fondant for almost 3 years now but I never actually took the time to look up a recipe and give it a shot. As crazy as that may sound, maybe I’ve seen too many cake show competitions LOL but fondant just intimidated me to the point that I felt if it didn’t come out right I’d feel like a total fake “marshmallow expert”.  Well, last night I decided to put my fears behind me and just do it!
