It is all coming together. I am just beside myself with excitement and disbelief (maybe a little sleep deprived too from all the endless night hours working LOL) that the time to announce our book title is finally here. Just like¬†we’ve spent hours¬†and hours in the past deciding on names for our two sons, we’ve done the same for our book. Surprisingly, the answer was right¬†in front of us the whole time. Seems it’s always that way, isn’t it? More on why we chose this title later on the blog. Choosing the title was¬†only the beginning. After doing so, we then began working on the overall design which is the fun part but also very hard to decide on. Who knew there were soooo many fonts available out there? Now I do.

Pinching. Pinching. Still pinching myself and not waking up. Wow, this is really happening. It’s not a dream!!

I am jumping with excitement over here! After months and months of holding it in, I am thrilled to finally be able to tell you all that The Marshmallow Studio is being sponsored byKRAFT¬†Jet-Puffed marshmallows.¬†This is HUGE!!¬†Jet-Puffed being the #1 marshmallow manufacturer in the United States asked me to join their team?!?!? They sure did ūüôā Let me tell ya, it’s a beautiful feeling to know that the marshmallow brand I love and use the most actually admires what I create and think so highly of me as to bring me on board as their¬†“digital spokesperson”. I feel soo honored and blessed!!

I have joined their team as the new¬†Community Manager.¬†You’ll soon find me creating amazing marshmallow masterpieces, sharing recipes,¬†videos¬†and more on the¬†Jet-Puffed Facebook page¬†and other social media outlets such as Pinterest and Website. What better way to make this announcement than with marshmallows? I wanted to make this announcement¬†extra special¬†so I ‘mallorized the JET-PUFFED logo. We used a 48″ X 36″ board, mini marshmallows, ¬†MallowBits and StackerMallows. My husband and I had actually had a pretty good time making this together!




I am thrilled to announce that we are now accepting submissions for our blog.

We are looking for anything ¬†and everything marshmallow related whether it’s edible or not.

  • Do you have a fabulous recipe that calls for marshmallows?
  • Can you make a fun craft using marshmallows?
  • Do your kids have a favorite way of eating marshmallows?
  • Can you make cool marshmallow pops and treats?
  • Are you a talented artist who makes something that represents marshmallows?
  • Have you done a clever little sweet using marshmallows?

YES, you read right! ūüôā I am ecstatic to finally tell you all that we are working on our first book! What started off as just a crazy idea is now truly happening. Two years ago when I founded The Marshmallow Studio I thought people would just want to order my designs (or not even) then I started receiving endless wonderful emails from around the world requesting tutorials, videos, and classes. I had accidentally created a new¬†craze¬†and it became fuel for me to keep pushing the limits. My students, customers, fans and readers have inspired me to truly pursue this book venture and make it a reality.¬†My¬†goal¬†is to make a humble contribution to the world that could hopefully make an impact in someone’s life.

A little bit about the book… it will show you step-by-step, how to make¬†over 72 designs which most are¬†never-before-seen creations. The book will also contain tips, recipes and techniques that I have learned along the way. The pages will be filled with amazing photographs and all of my marshmallow and sweets decorating knowledge. On top of that, we are also working with an¬†amazing team¬†of talented, creative professionals to add a few “extra goodies” that will be exclusively available those who snag a copy.

We haven’t set a solid pre-order or release date yet but it won’t be too far out and I will be ¬†sure to let you know as soon as it’s scheduled. I plan on taking you along this¬†exciting journey with me by sharing some behind-the-scenes photos and stories through our¬†blog. I’m still pinching myself over here while jumping up and down with excitement and trying to calm the butterflies in my stomach.¬†I want to¬†THANK YOU¬†all for your love and support, it truly means the world to me and I hold it dear to my heart!¬†Let’s get this show on the road….

I am now the new guest contributor for Hostess With The Mostess. This is such an amazing honor!! I’ve joined a wonderful team of creative, passionate, innovators that are happy to share their knowledge and talents with the world.

What an experience….

Although I am not a cake decorator, I am a sugar artist so I believe it’s very important to participate in local cake clubs and network with my fellow artists. ¬†As you may already know from my previous posts, we are members of the California Cake Club (3 Cs) and the San Diego Cake Club (SDCC). Every year for the past 29 years, the SDCC has puts together a Cake Show Competition to benefit a charity and allow local artists to showcase their talents. This is the largest show of it’s kind in California.

While at Cake Camp 2011 in Las Vegas, we had lots of people express interest in learning how to make marshmallow pops like ours. Some were asking about classes, some about online tutorials, DVDs, books, magazines, etc. Unfortunately, we have not had a chance to complete all of the sweet projects we have going on. But we DO teach local and travel classes.

Two of the ladies that talked to me about coming out to teach at Arizona were Aurora from Lovely Little Cake Shop and Kim Crapps from Confection Connection. After working out all the details, the date was set and I was set to come out to teach our first travel class!
