AIDEN’S “KEEP SOARING HIGH” 3RD BDAY PARTY

I cannot believe it has taken me over eight months to post my son’s 3rd birthday party from August 11, 2012.  This is proof that the book and the move has taken a toll on me.

Well, better late than never 🙂 Enjoy!

This celebrations was far more than just another birthday party, it was a graduation party as well per say. Meaning, we were celebrating the successful completion a full year of speech and applied behavior analysis therapy. He worked so hard to learn new things, learn to talk and modify his behavior and at times I couldn’t bear to see him struggle and become upset day after day, but we knew it was for his best. As the end of his therapy term neared, which coincidentally would be right at his 3rd birthday, it was clear to us he deserved a big party complete with sweets, piñatas, family and friends!

PASTEL COLORS FOR EASTER DESSERTS!

Easter _ TMS

Wah-lah! A whole desserts table decorated with marshmallows perfect for an Easter or Springtime get-together. This is my latest project for KRAFT Jet-Puffed marshmallows. It’s always fun to go above and beyond and make a whole table rather than just one piece. I had a blast playing stylist and eating those yummy cupcakes afterwards 😉

EPIC FAIL & SURPRISING RECOVERY!

This is a funny post… I’d love to sit here and tell you that all my ideas come out great and I never have total disasters but that would would be one big fat lie! There are times when I’m bored or feel overly creative and get these coo coo random marshmallow ideas. Sometimes they are cool and sometimes they leave me thinking “OMG, what the heck was I thinking”. The cool stuff is what makes it to the blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, on and on. Then the not-so-proud of stuff gets stashed somewhere in The Studio hidden from the public eye. It’s true!

Well, I decided it was time to share with you one of my all-time epic fail projects = Hot Chocolate sticks

THANKSGIVING MARSHMALLOW FONDANT CAKE

First off let me start off by saying Happy Thanksgiving! Every year I have soooo much to be thankful for and this year in particular I am thankful for the many blessing marshmallows have brought to our lives. I won’t get too mushy on you guys but definitely want you to know I appreciate each and every one of you and your continued support means the world to me. I’m thankful for you!!

Now, remember the Pumpkin Spice Marshmallow Fondant DIY tutorial I posted a few weeks back? Well…. I want to show you what I ended up using it for. It was my very very first time making marshmallow fondant and using it. Can’t believe it took me this long to get familiar with it and now I love it! I had such a blast playing and experimenting with it. I am no Brittany (Edible Details), Lynlee (Lynlee’s Petite Cakes), Rachel (Fondant Flinger) or Brenda (Sugar High, Inc.) but I must say I impressed myself with my new found fondant skills haha…. I guess all those episodes I watched of Food Network Challenge and Cake Boss did pay off.

I started off by just playing around, cutting out shapes with cookie cutters, and trying to mold little 3D figurines.

See what else I made below….

{DIY} PUMPKIN SPICE MARSHMALLOW FONDANT

I had been wanting to make marshmallow fondant for almost 3 years now but I never actually took the time to look up a recipe and give it a shot. As crazy as that may sound, maybe I’ve seen too many cake show competitions LOL but fondant just intimidated me to the point that I felt if it didn’t come out right I’d feel like a total fake “marshmallow expert”.  Well, last night I decided to put my fears behind me and just do it!

{DIY} JACK O’ LANTERN NECKLACE

As some of you might remember, a few months ago I designed several marshmallow necklaces. I thought people were going to laugh at my coo coo imagination but they actually loved them which was wonderful!!

I wanted to design a new necklace for Halloween that would be even easier to make. A necklace that kids can make at school, can be worn by anyone and can be eaten whenever. Sooooo, I wrapped Jet-Puffed’s Jumbo Pumpkin Mallows in plastic wrap, tied ribbon in between each pumpkin and then drew Jack o’ Lantern faces over each marshmallow. No need to run around looking for an edible pen, just draw over the plastic 🙂 It only took me ten minutes to make!!
