This post is way way overdue.

I owe you guys pictures from my mARTshmallows book tour.  Although I have already written about the major events and shows I attended as part of my tour, here are the details to the other stops that I missed.

I’m bringing you to San Diego, New York, Miami, Hollywood and Dallas.

mARTshmallows Book tour

Let me start off by saying that I am extremely appreciative of each and every single person who helped me organize my tour, came to see me, helped me spread the word, and supported me with encouragement on my pics and status updates I posted along. You guys all rock!! I am so very thankful to have you in my life. Book tours aren’t all glitz and glamour and can be very scary to take on as a self-publisher. Luckily, our was a total success!

I’d also like to thank my husband, my parents, my mother-in-law, Rocky and Melissa for helping me with the boys. I could not have done it without you!!!!

In 5 months we made 10 out of 12 scheduled appearances — WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

While at Cake Camp 2011 in Las Vegas, we had lots of people express interest in learning how to make marshmallow pops like ours. Some were asking about classes, some about online tutorials, DVDs, books, magazines, etc. Unfortunately, we have not had a chance to complete all of the sweet projects we have going on. But we DO teach local and travel classes.

Two of the ladies that talked to me about coming out to teach at Arizona were Aurora from Lovely Little Cake Shop and Kim Crapps from Confection Connection. After working out all the details, the date was set and I was set to come out to teach our first travel class!

{RECAP} FROM 2011 TO 2012

WOW…. is all I can say!

I cannot believe 2011 is over and now we’re getting ready to welcome 2012. This year was the first full year of The Marshmallow Studio. I can almost say we only really worked during half of it due to our second son being born and me still learning the business. Yet, it was a year of immense growth, monumental accomplishments and many lessons learned. I designed many pops, taught many students and made some friends along the way.

Looking back at everything that happened around here this past year makes me feel very blessed and proud. Must admit, a lot of it was possible with the sweet help of my husband, my two little boys who’ve given me all the strength and love I need to help push through the long nights, and a few valuable mentors.

Soooo, I wanted to put together a little recap of some of the fun we had in 2011 at The Marshmallow Studio. It’s a longer post than usual, but one that I truly enjoyed putting together for all of you to enjoy!! [Read more…]

Seriously, can someone please pinch me?

Did Chef Paul really just ask me to teach at his re-known store in Las Vegas, Nevada?

He sure did and I immediately said “Of course!!!”.

I’ve been dieing to go to Chef Rubber in Las Vegas for almost a year now and since I was coming out for Cake Camp already I thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to finally visit. This store is absolutely amazing. Beware: you will want to spend every dollar you have here. They have everything you didn’t even know existed. I was lucky enough to have my husband hide my wallet from me before walking in, LOL.

Chef Rubber offers specialty items for artisan chefs, cake decorators, confectioners, and mixologists. They also have a super cool and modern classroom space. You have to come to this place. Let them know Alejandra from The Marshmallow Studio sent you.

We’re builing up an insterest list so we can schedule classes accordingly. Please shoot us an email at and ask to be added to LV Class list. As soon as we have a group together we’ll be scheduling our 1st class there! So go on, pass the word 🙂

While in Las Vegas for Cake Camp 2011 we delivered our first order to Sugar Factory. The next day our products were delivered to the Sugar Factory boutique inside Paris Casino & Hotel. I was anxious to visit the store and see our products on display as well as the customers’ reaction so we decided to stop by on Saturday night.

So as soon as I walk in this is what I see: our Daisy Flower Pops and our Ice Cream Sugar Cone Pops!
