I love this cake so much that it took me almost two months to show it off to the world. I made it during my demo class at Cake Camp 2013 (read full recap here). I wanted to find the perfect backdrop and time to photograph it.
At last, here is my Marshmallow Roses Wedding Cake!!
It’s amazing how simple marshmallows can look so beautiful!
I was so proud of my masterpiece at the end of class. The students loved it too.
Here are lots of pictures:
The pearls on the bottom of the cake are shimmer gumballs from my friends at SweetWorks
Prior to being decorated, I sprayed the whole cake with Wilton’s Pearl Spray Color Mist.
Hope you all liked this unique wedding cake as much as I do. In a couple of weeks I’ll be taking on another challenge – I’ll be competing in front of a live audience and making a 3-foot wedding cake for the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show. I’m super excited but super nervous too. You bet I’ll be posting photos of that showpiece too so stay tunned.
Hugs,
Alejandra
