Marshmallow and White Chocolate Flower Pops by TheMarshmallowStudio

This year, Mother’s Day is extra special to me. Even though I’m supposed to be the one to be celebrated, I’m actually celebrating my family. I’m celebrating being the mommy to two wonderful little boys and a new baby girl. I’m celebrating them because they’ve allowed me to be their mother. They truly complete me. They bring so much joy into my life in ways I could have never imaged.

My má often said to me, “when you have children of your own you’ll understand.” Well, now I do! I can finally understand the immense love my mom has for my siblings and I. I can fully appreciate all her hard work, love and dedication toward us from the day we were born. it makes me want to do something special for her not just on Mother’s Day.

Most women love flowers; I prefer the edible kind hahaha! For this reason, I wanted to show my readers how to make something super special and pretty for the extraordinary moms in their lives this Mother’s Day. We all know creative, handmade gifts are the best! These Marshmallow and White Chocolate Flower Pops are sure to make mom feel extra special.

FROZEN’S OLAF INSPIRED MARSHMALLOW POPS {PLUS, MY THOUGHTS ON COPYRIGHTED CHARACTERS}

Olaf experiment

Last week I made very special marshmallow pops for my friend, Shanna from Pineapple and Coconut, daughter’s 6th birthday party.

Coincidentally, my mom had to make the same design for something else. Now, if you follow me you know that my mom is who taught me how to design marshmallows. We always say that marshmallow art, as with everything, it’s all about adding your own touch. We’ve made many similar designs over the years but we can always tell who has done which one because we have very distinct styles.

{DIY} BACK-TO-SCHOOL APPLE MARSHMALLOW POPS

Back-to-school Apple Marshmallow Pops by TheMarshmallowStudio

Wowzers, this summer has flown by!!

Time to switch gears and get ready for my favorite part of the year – Fall and Winter. Sure I love having the kiddos at home, all the outdoor nights eating s’mores, and the hot water fun but there’s something magical about the leaves turning and the weather cooling down that makes me feel all giddy inside.

This year I’m particularly excited for back-to-school season. My boys are 3.5 and 5 years old. One will go into his second year in preschool and my other will go into Kindergarten. They are both finally going to be going to the same school and having the same schedule. Woohoo!! I’m that mom that make special gifts for the teachers and sends in special treats every special occasion. Teachers like me, haha!

To quick off this school year with A+ extra credit parent points, I’m going to be making my boy’s teachers baskets full of Apple Marshmallow Pops.

Making these pops is like second nature to me. I’ve been making marshmallow pops and art for over four years now.  Today you’re in luck my friend…. I’m going to teach you how to WOW your kid’s teachers too!

{DIY} FATHER’S DAY EASY MARSHMALLOW POPS

 Father's Day MM Pops by TheMarshmallowStudio

June is Dairy Month, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month, Seafood Month and Turkey Lover’s Month…. but all I can think about in June is Father’s Day!

I have so many wonderful memories with my dad. I am lucky to say that he has been a great father to me and my siblings.

Now that I have children, he’s proven to also be an amazingly loving and fun grandpa or “abuelito” as we would say in Spanish. Every year we celebrate him with a little cake, lots of hugs, kisses and by reminding him how much we love and appreciate him 🙂
