What’s more girly than glitter?!
Right now, unicorn-everything is all the rage so I wanted to create something super simple that would go with that happy + colorful theme.
This DIY truly could not get any easier!
Here’s what you’ll need:
JET-PUFFED Jumbo HeartMallows Conversation Hearts
Drinking water
A paper towel
Wilton Rainbow Sparkling Sugar
Here’s how to make these Sparkly Rainbow Marshmallows:
1. Holding the back of the marshmallow, dip the front side of it into the water
2. Gently tap the wet side onto a paper towel to remove the excess water
3. Dip damp marshmallow face into bowl of sugar and lift
And you’re done.
See…. anyone can do it!
If you want to take it an extra step…
You can insert cute paper straws or popsicle sticks to the bottom of the marshmallow and now you’ll have Sparkly Rainbow Marshmallow Pops!
These make great gifts, party favors, Valentine’s Day grams and more.

You’re in luck my sweet friends, I have a two for one tutorial here!!
Now I’m going to show you how to add a sweet message to your delicious JET-PUFFED Conversation Hearts.
Actually, THREE ways to do that.
Did you know you can pretty much draw, doodle and color marshmallows any day, anyway, all day using Food Decorator Pens?
This is the EASIEST way to add some fun text to these yummy marshmallows.
For the most DELICIOUS way to add text to your HeartMallows use melted BAKER’S Chocolate in a Wilton Disposable Decorating Bag.
All you have to do is break off a few pieces of a BAKER’S chocolate bar and place them in a bag. Place bag in microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and squish around with fingers then place back in microwave for 15 sec intervals until smooth. Be careful NOT to overheat.
When chocolate is nice and melted, snip off a tiny piece of the tip of the bag. Write away all the sweet messages you can think of 🙂
BTW – I used semi-sweet chocolate but you can use any of the five premium chocolate varieties BAKER’S offers (Unsweetened, Semi-Sweet, German’s Sweet Chocolate, Bittersweet and White Chocolate).
The third method is to use Wilton Candy Melts and a Wilton Disposable Decorating Bag
.
I LOVE using these for all kinds of sweets decoration because they are easy to melt and are already colored. Wilton has tons of colors and flavors available. The one shown here is pink. I think it ends up being more of a coral color but I don’t mind because coral is one of my fav colors.
To decorate these, I pretty much did the same thing as I did above for the BAKER’S Chocolate text.
NOTE – I snipped off a bigger piece of my piping bag; therefore. my text was a lot bolder and harder to do. I recommend starting off with a tiny snip and testing that. If you want a larger text, then snip again until the desired size is achieved.
Tell me….
What will your JET-PUFFED Conversation Hearts say?
What will you use to write on them with?
Hope you enjoyed this sweet tutorial 🙂
