Although this little Halloween cake of mine didn’t turn out as envisioned, I think it’s pretty fun after all! It’s a two layer yellow cake, frosted with dark chocolate frosting and decorated with marshmallows…What’s not to love about this cute DIY Halloween Cake?!
Making fun projects like these for KRAFT Jet-Puffed Marshmallows every holiday is what I love the most about being their Community Manager. I seriously have the sweetest job ever!!
I’m trying out this new thing where instead of posting a million photos and instructions, I just add them to collages and they’re self explanatory.
Do you like this style or the traditional one better?
Super easy stuff right?!
Feel free to get creative with the eyes.
Maybe attach M&M’s instead of coloring them in or maybe use frosting instead of drawing them in with the edible markers.
Have all your decorations ready to go before frosting your cake.
The frosting will begin to crust if you let it sit for long and then it’ll be harder to attach decorations on to it.

I wanted to make everything edible but if you’d like to simplify things, you can make the bunting out of washi tape, paper or whatever else you’d like.
And if you’re wondering about my frosting texture… I made the cake look “furry” by first applying frosting to the cake and then gently taping the spatula all around the cake.
Now YOU go have fun with your marshmallows 🙂
Happy Halloween!!!
