{RECAP} 2013 – AN UNBELIEVABLE YEAR!

At the end of every year, I like to take time to look back and reflect on what was blessings and adventures occurred during that time. I do this with my personal life and with The Marshmallow Studio. You really learn a lot about your strengths, your weaknesses and it helps set new goals for the upcoming year. For me, doing annual recaps of each year on this blogs has helped me document the growth in my marshmallow skills, and my marketing abilities. Oh and to see the progress of my photography and Photoshop skills too which have a long way to go still haha.

TRAVELING :: CONFERENCES, SHOWS, COMPETITIONS, BOOK TOUR AND MORE

In March, I attended Blissdom in Dallas, Texas.

In July, we had a booth and taught three classes at Cake Camp in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The beautiful cake I demoed in my class.

In August, we had a booth at ICES on behalf of Jet-Puffed. It was a great show!

In September, I had the opportunity to compete in front of a live audience at the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma

I particularly loved my marshmallow headband I made for myself 🙂

In October, I was invited to attend IBIE in Las Vegas, Nevada and got to meet Buddy!

In October, I visited my partner’s KRAFT Foods’headquarter office in Chicago, Illinois.

While in Chicago, I was invited to demo at the Fine Chocolate and Desserts Show.

MY BOOK!!!

After months and months of intensive work and loads of sacrifices, our book mARTshmallows was released in August.

Here are a few photos I collected from fans who posted their photos.

I’m happy to say that our book is now being sold at over 42 cake and candy supply stores across the nation and overseas in the United Kingdom.

Our book tour lasted 5 months and it consisted of 12 stops. Some were signings, some were demos and some were classes!

I took advantage of one of my tour stops to make it a fun family vacation. I brought my whole family with me to New York City!!! Here we are in Central Park.
