Christmas truly is the time of the year when one gets to show others how much one appreciates them.
I have TWO super easy and cute ideas for hot chocolate and marshmallows kits that make the perfect little gift for anyone on your list!
Every year, I struggle to find the perfect gift for my kids’ teachers and school faculty. I want it to be thoughtful and creative…. something they would actually enjoy receiving without breaking the bank.
If you follow me on INSTAGRAM, you know we recently moved to an island in Washington state. We went from a horrible huge school to the most amazing little school. Here, everyone knows our family and I truly feel like we’re a small knit community that cares for one another. I wanted to make sure I did something “sweet” for everyone at my kiddos’ school.
As you already know, I love marshmallows. I have tons of them!! I mean seriously, who doesn’t like marshmallows?!?!
What goes best with marshmallows when it’s cold outside? Hot Cocoa, of course!!!
So…. I decided to put together cute little hot cocoa kits as gifts for everyone. I would include a medley of seasonal JET-PUFFED Marshmallows for them to top their hot cocoa with.
My first stop was Oriental Trading. They always have everything I need for my kids’ birthday parties and special celebrations.
Have you seen their Christmas and Winter catalog? They have EVERYTHING from crafts to gifts and from party supplies to home decorations!
I started by searching for marshmallow items.
I found several fun marshmallow goodies like these adorable Marshmallow Pop-Ups,
Marshmallow Pencils & Hot Cocoa Notepads (yes, those are marshmallow erasers!!),
and Marshmallow Stickers.
Next, I found these PERFECT Winter Snowflake Mugs to hold all the goodies inside of it.
Lastly, I needed Small Clear Cello Bags to hold the marshmallow medley… and what do you know?! They carry the perfect bag size too!
Once I place my order at Oriental Trading, I went out and purchased a huge box Swiss Miss hot chocolate packs at Costco and a box of 24 candy canes from Target.
I had lots of red shred and red twine already.
When it was time to assemble the kits, I quickly designed a gift tag to go on the pencils.
I am so happy to share those with you 🙂 Get your FREE PRINTABLE FLAG LABELS HERE!
My sister and I had so much fun snacking on marshmallows and listening to Christmas music while putting these kits together!
Can you believe I was able to make 12 super special gifts for under $50?!? Yup. True story.
I was able to give a gift to their school principal, office administrators, nurse, librarian, PE teacher, music teacher and other specialty educators gifts too.
They do a lot for our boys so I wanted to make them feel special too!
Since I had lots of left over cello bags and didn’t end up using the stickers in the hot cocoa kits, I decided to make mini marshmallow medley baggies for my boys to pass out to their classmates as a sweet little holiday snack.
I love giving marshmallows because they are allergen-free (no nuts, no egg, no dairy, no gluten, no scary stuff) and everyone can enjoy them!
We attached the marshmallow stickers onto the cello bags and filled them with a mixture of the same holiday marshmallows.
How stinkin’ cute are these marshmallow mix baggies?!
We made lots of little baggies!
Pair one of these with a pack of hot chocolate and you have a super easy and super cute kit to give out!
I hope this idea saves your sanity in this crazy busy yet wonderful season.
Happy holidays from my fluffy family to yours! ~The Morins.
