HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTESS “WONDERLANDIA” HWTM.COM LAUNCH PARTY RECAP

Drum roll……………………….

Finally, here is our recap of the famous and fabulous HWTM new site launch party called “Wonderlandia”. It was held at Hotel Solamar’s rooftop terrace in downtown San Diego on Friday, August 5, 2011.

The moment I heard about this event I emailed my RSVP and was lucky enought to get on the list. Just a week before the event we were added to the talented list of sponsors to be showcased in the event. Needless to say, I was beyond myself. My excitement seriously shows in every marshmallow pop we made and in every picture I took that night.

When we arrived around 7:45ish pm, we checked in at the door, got a wrist band and a little white envelope. We were instructed to hold on to it since it was out ticket to a “cool gift” (as the young man at registration said) at the end of the night and drink tickets. Now, I was even more excited, if that’s possible. Right next to the registration desk was the photographer ready to snap photos of you as you posed in front of the backdrop. Standing there totally makes one feel like a sought after celebrity. Hahahaha. I was having so far for sure!

Now it was time to take a short trip up the elevator to enter Wonderlandia. The elevator doors opened, two masked in body paint and glitter greeters welcomed us as they gave us our name tags. Yay, we’re in! The terrace was filled with lovely, friendly, stylish and creative ladies (LOL few men too). The music is playing and you can feel the positive energy in the air. The event staff was dressed to match the theme as well with black & white stripped ties and tiny top hats.

We head for the bar. I ordered one of the featured drinks that night, a special mojito (Gosh, I can’t remember the full name of it but it was delish). With refreshing drinks in hand, we anxiously walk over to the exhibit tablescapes area. Of course, I fell in love with every table, every detail, every item, every flower, every everything. I mean seriously, they were truly wonderful. Each table was followed the Wonderlandia theme but for different special occasions.  Here were the themes and the designers: (for vendor credits and more details go to HWTM.com)

I leave the best for last…… The Dessert Station. There I see a stunning cake by Hey There, Cupcake!, yummy white mini doughnuts and cupcakes decorated with fondant flowers and peonies by Two Sugar Babies, colorful candy assortment from The Candy Warehouse, beautiful sugar cookies by Bees Knees Creative and Allyson Jane, and finally I see (more drum roll…..) our Mad Hatter Marshmallow Pops. We specifically designed these to showcase the organic, mysterious and whimsical feel Wonderlandia was all about. I’m happy to say, they were such a hit they were gone within 5 minutes.

Here are a few lucky ladies that got to take one home. Since adding it to our product line on our website last night, we’ve already received an order for them today! 🙂

On top of a tall table next to the tablescapes were two computers with huge monitors. There guests could browse the new HWTM site. I used it to show my friend how cool the new site was.

Well, I took many photos by this point and now I’m ready to just enjoy the party, have another drink and mingle. I head over to the Mighty Leaf Tea Company booth where a mixologist fixed up a “Mango Tea Vodka Berry” cocktail that was to die for. It was refreshing, not too sweet, not herbal at all and with the perfect amount of vodka. My favorite drink of the night for sure. I need that recipe!

While mingling, I met the chic ladies of Fashionably Bombed, Sharon from Cupcakes and Cutlery and Nancy from A to Zebra Celebrations. Nancy was such a delight to chat with. She is super fun and full of creativity, we hit if off pretty well. Even Jenn stopped by with hubby Sonny to join the fun. They are soo cute together. I wish I would have met more people but time flew by and it was hard to pick out who’s who in the crown at night.

At this point, it’s after 11pm and the doors are now open to the public. We stayed for a while and then decided to head on out but first….. remember the little envelope I mentioned at the beginning? Well, it’s time to redeem it for an awesome “Swag Bag”. Talk about a gift that every girl wants! This fabulous gift was a fashionable KOKO Insulated Lunch Bag filled with goodies such as OPI nail polish, KOKO Waterbottle, Eatools fork & spoon, Evite tumbler, Mabel’s Labels samples, Z Gallery and Shutterfly gift cards, Mighty Leaf tea, perfume samples, Lite Pom juices, Columbia Crest wine bottle opener,  Sweet Baking Supply cupcake liners, Willy Wonka chocolate, Tiny Prints stationary pack, Glue Dots and more. This for sure is gift that will keep giving!!! I loved it all 🙂

Hope you enjoyed my funny way of describing my experience at Wonderlandia. I had a blast and just wanted to share it with you all. Congratulations once again to Jenn on her awesome new site, for throwing a great party and for her little munchin in the belly.
