It gives me great joy to donating and creating custom pieces for Operation Shower events. This time I was approached by Tanya from Save the date for Cupcakes to make pops for the dessert table she was styling . The theme was Once Upon a Time and I made The Lorax inspired Truffala Trees which I absolutely had a blast making. I used paper straws from Green Party Goods and Jet-Puffed‘s Jumbo Mallows. I also love love loved the little fondant Lorax figurine Brenda from Sugar High, Inc. made and was placed right by our pops, it was perfect!

I few months back I was surprised with an email inviting me to submit a “wedding piece” inspired by the inspiration board above. At first I was ecstatic then the panic sunk in… I realized I’d be submitting my work to a magazine filled with amazing eye-candy from professional sugar artist and honorable cake decorators from around the world. I kind of freaked out but took a deep breath and acted as if I knew what I was doing.
I am thrilled to make this announcement:
I am now the new guest contributor for Hostess With The Mostess. This is such an amazing honor!! I’ve joined a wonderful team of creative, passionate, innovators that are happy to share their knowledge and talents with the world.
I will be doing tutorials on simple marshmallow designing. Hope you all love them and be sure to comment on each tutorial. Would love to know what you think of each project. If you make any of the fun projects, please post them on our Facebook wall…. it’s amazing to see what others can make too!

When Celebrity Event Planner and Designer Brian Worley asked us to design a few products for his special segment on Fox 5 San Diego Morning News (Aired on Tuesday, 3/6/12 9:20am) I was thrilled to finally meet him in person and have the opportunity to work together. He is soo fabulous, sweet, talented out of this world and totally grounded.
Here’s what we designed:
This is a way over-due post but one that I really wanted to write and share with all of you.
As some of you may already know, we have had the opportunity twice now to design and donate custom marshmallow pops for the beautiful organization Operation Shower. There are soo many reasons why I feel dearly toward this organization to name them all, I just hope to be able to continue donating our products and time whenever possible. You too can get involved by donating here or through their Amazon wishlist. After learning that they were hosting the January shower in San Diego, I immediately volunteered to provide pops and also to come help set up for the event. I was stoked to finally meet the wonderful team behind this organization and the 11 talented designers that were being involved.
Here’s the cherry on top of my ice cream sundae… I got to make new friends, hang out with a fabulous group of ladies, and I even heard our Flamingo Marshmallow Pops were a favorite on the sweets table with the future-mommas!

Since most of the marshmallows we use are KRAFT Jet-Puffed, I thought it’d be a good idea to share with them what we use them for. So I posted a photo of our TMS original Cupcake Marshmallow Pops on their wall and thought nothing would come of it. A couple of days later, I woke up to see over 300 new Facebook fans, a full inbox, and tons of sweet comments on my photo. Kraft had shared my photo with their 777,880 (at the time) fans and we instantly had gone viral!
