10/1/11 THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS – MARSHMALLOW JACK & SALLY CLASS RECAP

Apparently Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas has a huge fan base.

We were asked to design pops inspired by Jack and Sally about five months ago and as soon as we announced the class date it was full in just a couple of hours. 18 lucky fans were patiently waiting for this class and the pressure was on us to create the perfect pops to resemble their favorite characters.

The class took place on October 5th at Coooper’s Cake and Candy Making Supply store in Fontana, California. We took 18  students. Many of which wore their The Nightmare Before Christmas shirts, hair pins, and even brought memorabilia to share with the group.

{Here’s one of the tables ready for the students to enter room and get started.We always provide all materials. Look how fun all those colored icing bags look :)}

Dahlia (above center) is one of our repeat students. You can’t really see it here but she’s wearing a The Nightmare Before Christmas shirt.

I’m happy to see that my students always leave with a smile on their face and proud to show their pops to their friends and family. The student above mentioned that she wanted to make these pops for her big annual Halloween Party.

Sooooo here are the six final pieces I designed and later made along with the students during class.

I used the above image as my guide.

{Santa Jack and Sweet Sally}

{Romantic Jack and Shy Sally}

{Jack & Sally}

Which design is your favorite?
