I’ve never done a gingerbread house before, let alone one made out marshmallows bit always wanted to.
When I learned that Candy.com and MyCandyCrafts.com were having a contest and the winner would get a $75 gift certificate to either site I knew I had to enter and win.
So I grabbed my notepad and began to sketch out what I thought would be a magical marshmallow gingerbread house.
At the end, I had a North Pole Marshmallow Cabin.
In addition to marshmallows, I used:
- Royal Icing
- Pretzels
- Granulated Sugar
- Red and Green Sanding Sugar
- White Sugar Crystals
- White and Green Sixlets
- Yellow Candy Stars
- Various sprinkles and edible decorations
- Wilton Pre-Structured Gingerbread House Kit (Since I’m not a baker, this was a must LOL)
The cabin features:
A fence made out of pretzels and decorated with tree sprinkles.
A crushed candy cane sprinkles walk way which is lined with standing up marshmallow candy canes and green sixlets.
A big decorative wreath made from a pretzel and royal icing.
A welcoming snowman holding a gingerbread cookie and a little pine tree.
Two decorated and lit up Christmas trees topped with a bright yellow star.
A mini gingerbread boy and girl.
A sleigh full of presents.
I thought it’d be fun to show the actual dimensions of the cabin using a ruler.
I truly had a blast making it and seeing my marshmallows all come together into an actual self-standing structure.
And……….
I hope you enjoyed our North Pole Marshmallow-Gingerbread Cabin!
