{RECAP} EVENT-SOLUTIONS IDEA FACTORY / CATERSOURCE 2012 LAS VEGAS

Last week I attended the Event-Solutions Idea Factory / Catersource Tradeshow 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had a blast, learned a lot and meet some really cool people. I loved the energy in the air and the creativity As some of you may already know, I have two degrees in event management and worked many years in this field. One of my biggest passions are events and all aspects of design. Every year I look forward to this show because there are soo many new things to see and learn about, not to mention the amazing tablescapes designed by some the country’s top event designers. This was my fourth time attending the show and every year it seems to keep getting bigger and better. I will be back again next year!

Although this show has nothing to do with marshmallows, I thought you’d might enjoy seeing some photos from my trip so here you go….

I was happy to have my mom come along with me, she had a blast!!

My FAVORITES 🙂 bread and desserts! YUM

Stopping by my friend’s booth : “Bedazzle My Bonbons

Her dazzled chocolate truffles are sooo out of this world delicious, innovative and perfect for any occasion. Get familiar with Bedazzle My Bonbons because you’ll want to order them for your next event!

Paul from Chef Rubber is like the Willy Wonka of the sugar art world. His knowledge, his charisma and his professionalism is to be admired by all. After show, we stopped by his showroom to stock up on some fun supplies.

Got plasticware? This bride does LOL

My mom and I being silly at Chef Rubber’s booth.

Chef Chris Hanmer , recent winner of Top Chef Just Desserts Season 2, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest sugar ribbon. It measured a total of 119.38 feet!!

How about these show-stopping chocolate necklaces from Jinju Chocolates… Oh my goodness, PERFECTION!

Live ice carving competition. I could not believe how quick and good these guys are. It’s crazy the kind of things they can make with a big block of ice.

My jaw just dropped when I saw this beautiful work of art. It’s 100% edible and made from carved fruits and vegetables. Unbelievable!!

It’s always fun when booths have models with full on costumes.

Here we all are drooling over the tables and chitty chatting with the talented designers. They were all oh so fabulous and beautiful. I think every single table was my favorite. Just being able to see these tables in person was worth the trip.

(I will be updating this post in the future with link to where you can catch all the details of each table.)

The Tabletop Contest was being judged by David Tutera.

I couldn’t stop laughing when my mom said “That man is good looking”… yes, he is!

Taking a quick break from the fun to have more fun LOL Enjoying happy hour with my Vegas girls.

Well, after two full days of walking around… it was time to say goodbye 🙂
