This cake just makes me happy.

It reminds me of how fortunate I am to have migrated to the United States when I was a little girl. My parents were looking for a way to provide my brother and I with more and for a way to live with freedom. This country adopted us and has indeed provided a world of opportunities. I am thankful to live here everyday!

I had three designs in mind but ended up going for a traditional USA flag cake  because I really wanted to use these  Duff Goldman wires to create a fireworks effect.

To decorate this cake I used KRAFT Jet-Puffed Marshmallows StackerMallows, Minis and StarMallows coated in colored sugar.

I think the white stars on the blue top layer was my favorite part.

And in case you’re wondering… I purchased the cake wires from Michael’s and the adorable cake stand from Hobby Lobby.
