{RECIPE} PATRIOTIC RED VELVET STAR CAKES

Patriotic Red Velvet Star Cakes by TheMarshmallowStudio

It’s warm outside, the kiddos are out for vacations and every weekend is an opportunity to be outdoors and hanging out with friends.

One holiday that I definitely look forward to every summer is 4th of July. We usually have a BBQ in our backyard and have some friends and family over. Most of the time, our menu consists of bacon wrapped hot dogs, Mexican grilled corn, a salad and a few desserts. After our bellies are full, we go to the front and light up some fireworks. The boys especially love the sparklers.

Now let’s talk dessert… If you follow me on Instagram or read my blog, you  know that it’s no secret that red velvet with cream cheese frosting is my favorite cake.  I pretty much make it all the time for all occasions and holidays. Being that it’s red, it’s only natural that I would make it again to celebrate this beautiful country on its day.

There are many ways to make any cake festive. You can decorate it, you can layer it into little jars, or you can cut it into shapes. I thought making individual star cakes that were pre decorated and served would make my get together easier to manager and more fun for my guests.  These are super easy to make and always a hit!

{RECIPE} STARMALLOW STRAWBERRY DIPPERS

This past year has truly just flown by. It was a year and a month ago that I joined the KRAFT Jet-Puffed team as their Community Manager. I have had a blast interacting with fans, participating in behind-the-scenes work, and creating unique edible art pieces using Jet-Puffed marshmallows.

STAR SPANGLED MARSHMALLOW CAKE

The Marshmallow Studio-Star Spangled Marshmallow Cake

This cake just makes me happy.

It reminds me of how fortunate I am to have migrated to the United States when I was a little girl. My parents were looking for a way to provide my brother and I with more and for a way to live with freedom. This country adopted us and has indeed provided a world of opportunities. I am thankful to live here everyday! [Read more…]

CAN OFFICIALLY SAY “As seen in Amy Atlas Events’ Sweet Design Blog”

After having a permanent smile in my face, my feet and knees hurting from all the jumping and bragging to everyone now I am announcing on my blog that we’ve been featured in Amy Atlas EventsSweet Design blog “Fourth of July Roundup” post. I can officially put her badge on my website and facebook. Super excited!!!

In case you missed it, here’s the link.

This is HUGE considering she is the Queen of dessert tables. She inspires me in many many ways including how to juggle being a “mompreneur”.  A couple of months back I even wrote an entry saying how I wish she would know about us. I just can’t believe it… now it’s time to keep the ball rolling and make more things happen for The Marshmallow Studio.

Thank you very much to Amy, Lisa and her whole team for all their hard work, dedication, down-to-earth-ness, and motivation.
