Ummmmm…. where has the year gone? It feels like just yesterday I was here typing away my last post for 2011 and now I’m doing it for 2012. It seems every year time passes by faster and faster doesn’t it? Well, I always like to sum up what adventures each year brought for The Marshmallow Studio. It’s a fun way to reminisce and see much we’ve learned, grown and accomplished.

HUGE Highlights:

We announced we were publishing a book and it’s title!!!

Alejandra (me) was contracted by KRAFT Jet-Puffed marshmallows as their Community Manager. (Still can’t believe it!)

We were asked to create a cake for Cake Central Magazine. One of my proudest moments!

Celebrated my son, Keiran’s 1st Birthday party and his party was featured on many popular party blogs.

Celebrated my son, Aiden’s 3rd birthday party!

We moved to Las Vegas, Nevada

Projects:

Lots and lots of Cupcake Marshmallow Pops were made for Sugar Factory in Las Vegas.

Won 1st place in my devision for my Marshmallow Easter Basket at the Annual San Diego Cake Club Cake Show Competition.

Designed this piece to celebrate Summer.

Our 1st project for KRAFT Jet-Puffed Marshmallows – 4th of July Marshmallow Dessert Table!

Some of all-time favorite designs are these cute little cakes.

I plan on doing a full shoot around this gorgeous cake someday but for now, here it is.

To introduce the new marshmallow product from KRAFT Jet-Puffed marshmallow’s  snack line – Ice Cream Cone Mallows, I created this edible image.

Made this candy art piece for my son’s 3rd birthday party from marshmallows and SweetWorks‘ Gumballs and Sixlets.

Created this Marshmallow Haunted Mansion for KRAFT Jet-Puffed Marshmallows. LOVED IT!

Surprised my son’s preschool teachers with this REAL pumpkin decorated with marshmallows for their Halloween class party. I also made little pops for the kiddos.

My first attempt making and decorating with marshmallow fondant, my new favorite.

Had a ball (pun intended) designing this Gingerbread-Marshmallow Village for KRAFT Jet-Puffed marshmallows.
